Cruise Night - Foxboro

Here are a few pictures from a Cruise Night that took place in Foxboro, MA yesterday.  Nothing much to say but I tried to stay away from the ubiquitous Corvettes and most Mustangs.  Enjoy!

Singing a Different Tune

tune - make more precise, intense, or effective

Within the automotive world, hidden away from all the shiny new supercars and drowned out by the lumpy-cammed V8 musclecars of the past, in a very dark corner sits the red-headed stepchild of automotive culture, the tuner.  For many, the word "tuner" conjures up the most vile and wretched kind of car enthusiasts.  He came to life in the 80s but started to gain notoriety in the mid-90s.  You could tell he was near by the incessant drone of his coffee can exhaust which was just a bit smaller than the subwoofer that filled the trunk of his Japanese import.  He was a brash, degenerate hooligan.  He was a ricer.

Cruise Night Photos

Here are a few select artsy photos from the past couple cruise nights.  If you're interested in photos of the cruise nights with more cars and less art, let me know and I'll post those pictures too.  Click the pic for full size, possibly desktop worthy high resolution.

West Siiiiiide!

FPH is very much based on the east coast with Choy in New York and me in Boston.  So we drool at a lot of things from the left coast.  Sometimes they are a glimpse into what's headed in our direction.  Other times it's a look at an altogether different way of life.

This video represents the latter.  The sub-culture that consists of hot rods, rat rods, and lead sleds lives just under the radar... and we love them!

Welcome to #6 of Freak of the Week, where for every weekend, Weimann, Chin, and I look for something balls off the wall crazy, weird, or just polarizing and worth talking about.
